05Process
Five stages over roughly five weeks, with a senior designer who presents the routes themselves.
A short brief beats a long questionnaire. One session on what you make, who buys it, and every surface the mark has to appear on. For an engineering firm that list is the brief.
One route, drawn properly, no filler. One recommended direction with the thinking written next to it, plus the routes we rejected and why. You will not get twenty variations designed to make one look good.
The chosen mark is pushed until it holds in one colour. Optical corrections, a mono version, and proofs at plate size. Colour comes after the shape works, not before.
Rules that stop the logo being stretched. Clear space, minimum sizes, approved backgrounds and a short do-not list, written so a fabricator or dealer gets it right unsupervised.
Every file you will ever be asked for. Vector source, print and web formats, favicon and app icon sets, all yours outright. No licence back to us, no retainer to keep your own artwork.
